Being concerned with pain, rather than life or death, taking on only the necessary personal pain in order to remain clear headed to address the pain of others. Minimizing pain and increasing stress tolerance through taking on acceptable levels of physical stress in the form of exercise, which reduces neuroses, which often proceed not from neurochemistry, where the mechanisms have not been established well enough for real answers, but from the musculature and organs, often gastrointestinal. To watch for people with bowed heads, lumped over, to reflect on their pain in order to turn against my own, stand and walk properly, desire less. To seek help when I need it and find a place where help is graciously accepted.
